Finalmente ho capito cosa mi ricorda il trailer del nuovo remake de I Tre Moschettieri: è identico al trailer del remake di Sherlock Holmes. Mi aspetto quindi grandi cose: un cattivo da operetta, una trama risibile, personaggi che non hanno nulla a che vedere con gli originali e soprattutto ESPLOSIONI BOOM BOOM.

This year I wrote 31 fics (Original, J&W, Sherlock Holmes and a couple random fandoms such as Sleeping Beauty crossover'd with Snow White - really, WHAT was I thinking?) for a total of 144,168 words. I totally suck, it was 202,000 last year. Shortest fic: "Mattutino II" (283 words); longest fic: "My Infinite Variety. A Case of Identity" (41,410 words, incidentally my longest fic ever). This year proved that my variety is most definitely not infinite, not even notable, we could rather say non-existent, since 99% of my fic was Sherlock Holmes and what can you do about it.

If we have things pending, I'm reeeeally sorry but I'm afraid they'll stay pending for a little while more. My life has been a bit... hectic lately. In any case, my mobile works perfectly and if you have my number there must be a reason, though I can't fathom what it is.

Oggi pomeriggio ho visto un video: Quando i sogni hanno un prezzo, registrazione di una tavola rotonda sull'annoso tema dell'editoria a pagamento, che già il titolo è un programma.

E lo confesso, un po' mi sono irritata a vedere l'incredibile montagna di cavolate che la gente, soprattutto i paladini autoeletti, riesce a sparare in meno di un'ora. Non sono un'editrice, non ho mandato manoscritti a nessuno e non gestisco alcun sito o blog in materia, quindi mi ritengo sufficientemente fuori dai giochi (posizione invidiabile, ve l'assicuro) per dire un pensiero o due in proposito.

Incidentally, the Italian dubbing is hilariously crazy sometimes; annoying the rest of the time. Today they kept calling "Helmsman, Helmsman" like Helmsman was someone's name, although all the names of the people on screen had been mentioned before. Oh, well.

Useless note for terminal geeks: I was very amused when I realized that in Where No Man Has Gone Before they had given Dr. Piper, a.k.a. The Ship Doctor Before Bones' Time, the same dubber as McCoy's! It gave me this hilarious feeling that poor Dr. Piper was just a dummy moved from a distance by Bones who was, I don't know, on shore leave or something and didn't want the crew to miss him.

... see what happens when I take two minutes to talk about it? Oh, do stop me.
